A carabiner at theorigine of the finger-wire revolution, the new Black Diamond HotWire carabiner is an integral part of every climber's rack, thanks to its versatility. Equally at home on either end of a quickdraw, for stowing Camalots or on mountaineering slings, the HotWire proves to be an excellent multi-purpose finger-wire carabiner. With its improved geometry and hot-forged structure, which has enabled us to save weight in places that don't need it and add material where strength is essential, the HotForge has a generous dimension line for easier carabiner attachment, and the flat end of the hinge holds the quickdraw webbing securely in place. The rope's large working surface adds strength to both the carabiner and your rope. We've also improved the geometry of the spout to enable efficient clipping of the rope and smooth carabiners on and off spits. The HotWire is a modern classic suitable for all activities, from after-work cliff climbing to long ice routes.
