Live services for your route
Avoid traffic jams by taking alternate routes or bypassing them. With real-time information, you'll also spend less time driving around in circles looking for a parking space. For traffic alerts, route recalculation and weather predictions, download the Smartphone Link app, which connects your Garmin Drive with your smartphone. As you approach your destination, avoid circling for a parking spot with information on the price and availability of public parking. The Smartphone Link app also lets you activate LiveTrack2, the feature that lets you share your location with your friends, so they can follow you when you're shopping around town or going on a long trip.

To improve driving safety and driver awareness, Garmin Drive provides alerts for dangerous turns, speed zone changes, railroad crossings, and animal crossings. In addition, GPS alerts you when you're driving the wrong way in a one-way lane and alerts you when you're approaching school zones. You're also warned when approaching danger zones4 and receive fatigue alerts5 that suggest rest stops after hours of continuous driving.

It's always nice to get advice when you don't know a region well. That's why we've integrated TripAdvisor into our Garmin Drive navigation system. Check out ratings for many points of interest, such as hotels, restaurants, and tourist spots on your route or near your destination. Take advantage of the largest travel site right in your car, so the stops along the way count as much as the final destination. And find new points of interest with the built-in route planner that suggests interesting stops along the way.

Rediscover voice guidance with Garmin Real Directions. Our voice guidance uses concrete landmarks, like buildings and traffic lights in addition to street names, and guides you like a friend next to you.
